Advancing Electric Mobility, Together

The Electric Mobility Promoters Association of Nigeria (EMPAN) is a non-profit association bringing together professionals, businesses, advocates, and other stakeholders working to advance electric mobility in Nigeria.

We exist to support the growth and adoption of electric vehicles and related infrastructure while helping create the conditions needed for a cleaner, more efficient, accessible, and sustainable transportation system.

Who We Are

Electric mobility is bigger than the vehicle itself.

Electric mobility ecosystem

It brings together transportation, energy, infrastructure, technology, manufacturing, finance, policy, technical expertise, and the people who use and maintain these systems.

EMPAN was established to bring these interests together under a common platform.

We represent a growing community of stakeholders who share an interest in the responsible development and adoption of electric mobility in Nigeria. Our association provides a space for industry participants to connect, exchange ideas, build relationships, and contribute their knowledge and experience to the growth of the sector.

We also recognise the importance of collaboration between the private sector and public institutions. By encouraging constructive engagement between these groups, EMPAN seeks to support an environment where electric mobility can develop in a practical, sustainable, and inclusive way.

Our Purpose

To serve as a unified voice for Nigeria's electric mobility ecosystem while promoting innovation, collaboration, awareness, and policies that support sustainable growth.

Our Origins

Why EMPAN Was Established

Nigeria's transition toward electric mobility presents an important opportunity for the country's transportation and energy future.

However, a successful transition requires more than the introduction of electric vehicles. It requires a supportive ecosystem where policy, infrastructure, technical knowledge, investment, innovation, and public understanding can develop alongside one another.

EMPAN was established to help create that connection.

The association promotes the interests of stakeholders within the electric mobility sector while encouraging dialogue with government, public institutions, industry, and other relevant partners.

Our goal is to contribute to an environment where stakeholders can work together, share knowledge, address emerging challenges, and identify opportunities for the responsible growth of electric mobility in Nigeria.

Our Core Values

Principles that shape our engagement

Collaboration

We believe progress happens when people and organisations work together. We encourage open engagement across the entire mobility ecosystem.

Integrity

We value honesty, accountability, transparency, and responsible engagement in our relationships and activities.

Innovation

We remain open to new ideas, technologies, solutions, and approaches that can help address Nigeria's transportation and energy challenges.

Sustainability

We support the development of transportation solutions that consider environmental, economic, and long-term societal needs.

Inclusion

The development of electric mobility should create opportunities for different participants. We encourage participation from diverse professional backgrounds.

Knowledge

We believe that informed decisions and a skilled workforce are essential. We therefore value learning, knowledge sharing, research, and continuous development.

Impact

We focus on meaningful progress rather than activity for its own sake. Our aim is to contribute to initiatives that create lasting value for the ecosystem.

Bringing Stakeholders Together

Electric mobility cuts across several industries. EMPAN creates opportunities for stakeholders to meet, exchange perspectives, identify common interests, and develop relationships.

Listening to the Industry

The people working within the sector understand its opportunities and challenges. We value their experiences and use these conversations to inform our engagement.

Encouraging Constructive Dialogue

The development of a new mobility ecosystem requires meaningful conversations. EMPAN promotes dialogue that helps stakeholders work toward practical solutions.

Supporting Responsible Growth

We believe electric mobility should develop in a way that is appropriate for Nigeria's realities. Our approach focuses on sustainable and responsible growth.

Our Leadership

Meet the People Behind EMPAN

EMPAN is led by professionals who bring experience and knowledge from different areas relevant to electric mobility and sustainable transportation. Together, the leadership provides direction for the association and represents its interests across the wider electric mobility ecosystem.

Looking Forward

A Shared Vision for Nigeria

The development of electric mobility in Nigeria is a journey that requires patience, collaboration, knowledge, and a shared commitment to progress.

EMPAN exists to bring people and organisations together around that shared vision. As the electric mobility ecosystem continues to develop, we remain committed to providing a platform where stakeholders can connect, contribute, and help shape the future of transportation in Nigeria.
